*** NEXT SLING MEET ***
26th January 2018
Bournville Community Hub
Free hot drink for parents, cake available for donation
What to expect at a sling meet?
Chiefly to try out different styles of slings, but also to meet and socialise with other families who are interested in babywearing. You are welcome to attend any meet for a catch up, chat or browse of the slings – I know how fulfilling it can be to get out of the house and meet other like minded parents and carers.
You do not need to book but if there is a specific sling you have in mind that you’d like to hire an email/Facebook message beforehand is appreciated to let you know if the sling is currently available or out for hire and when it will be back. During busy periods, you may need to wait but there will be space to do so and toys for little ones. Unfortunately I will be restricted to 15 minute slots for each family to save you waiting too long (although if there are families with children of a similar age/needs I will try and group you together for demonstrations and support). However, there is always the option of booking a private/small group session if you are looking to acquire a particular skill or try may different types of sling.
Sling library meets will happen bi-monthly (venue TBC) and hire is £5 for 2 weeks. Most slings require a deposit of £50 (£25 for a stretchy sling). If you would like to extend your hire at the end of 2 weeks that’s no problem – just drop me a message. If you can’t make a meet, get in touch to see if you can pop in for a short consultation at another time.
